Korean-American group blasts GOP no-shows
BY MARGARET GIBBONS
Times Herald Staff

COURTHOUSE - The head of a Korean-American civic organization blasted the Montgomery County Republican Committee and its candidates Monday for not attending the group's candidate forum last Friday.

In a letter to county GOP chairman Frank R. Bartle released Monday, Sang Joo Kim, chairman of the Council for American My Country, said some GOP candidates were no-shows at a similar forum last year. The moves amount to a "willful corporate act of attacking us," Kim, said.

"We feel harmed, we feel denigrated," Kim stated. "We feel insulted and prejudiced in dignity and injured." [the rest truncated] - Times Herald, October 31, 2000
