October 10, 2003Michelle Singer (Deputy Director, Public Liaison, Office of Governor Edward G Rendell) responded to CAMC 's interest in the Commission.
October 28, 2003Nicole Carter (Deputy Director, Public Liaison, Office of Governor) sent CAMC copy of the Governor's Executive Order, dated June 22 2003 Number 2003-8, establishing, "in the Office of the Governor, the Governor's Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs (hereinafter referred to as "Commission") as the Commonwealth's advocate agency for its Asian American citizens as hereinafter set forth".
November 24, 2004Deputy Director, Public Liaison, Office of Governor wrote CAMC that

"Please inform the attendees to the meeting that the Commission has been established by the Executive Order that you have, but that it is not operating yet. We are currently in the planning and formation stages".
November 24, 2003 CAMC hosted a public seminar introducing the Governor's Executive Order to the Asian American community.
December 15, 2003 CAMC wrote Governor's Deputy Director of Public Liaison:

"What is your/Governor's projected timeline 'in the planning and formation stages' of the Commission? Your/Governor's prompt response will be appreciated".

Silence from the Governor's Office prompted CAMC to write Governor's Deputy Director of Public Liaison three times (January 8, 2004, January 14, 2004 and March 29, 2004) asking for Governor's projected timeline "in the planning and formation stages" of the Commission.
April 6, 2004Governor's Deputy Director of Public Liaison wrote CAMC that

"We should have a definite date soon. I will be sure to inform you".
May 4, 2004 CAMC wrote Governor's Deputy Director of Public Liaison that

"What is your/Governor's projected timeline "in the planning and formation stages" of the Commission? Your/Governor's prompt response will be appreciated".

"Separately, will there be an oversight mechanism to oversee the Commission?

Silence from the Governor's Office prompted CAMC to write Governor's Deputy Director of Public Liaison three times (May 25, 2004, June 4, 2004,

July 29, 2004) asking for Governor's projected timeline "in the planning and formation stages" of the Commission.

August 12, 2004 CAMC wrote B J Clark (Director, Office of Public Liaison, Office of the Governor) that

"Nicole Carter, your Deputy, wrote us vide infra on April 6, 2004 in which she stated,

'We should have a definite date soon. I will be sure to inform you'. However, she has been silent to date.

Please note that we diligently (12/15/03, 1/8/04, 1/14/04, 3/29/04, 5/4/04, 5/25/04, 6/4/04, 7/29/04) wrote your Deputy vide infra asking what Governor's projected timeline was 'in the planning and formation stages' of the Commission.

Hence, we ask you to promptly present us 'a definite date' as to what Governor's projected timeline is 'in the planning and formation stages' of the Commission.

In the same vein, will there be an oversight mechanism to oversee the Commission and its work?

We want you to know that we are much interested in actively engaging in the Governor's Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs".

"We have been, since last year, much interested in actively engaging and participating in the Governor's Advisory Commission on Asian American Affairs and wrote vide infra diligently to the Governor* and Office of Public Liaison** of the Governor.

To date, only silence and incommunicado from the Governor's Office of Executive Staff since then.
