Biography submitted by Todd Stephens

Republican for PA House 151st Legislative District

Todd Stephens is a successful prosecutor, lifelong resident of our community and concerned citizen who shares the values of our families – values he will take to Harrisburg as our State Representative.

Proven Results for Our Community

Todd has spent his entire professional career working to keep our families and communities safe from criminals – as a federal prosecutor focusing on violent gun crime and, for the last seven years, as an Assistant District Attorney to Risa Vetri Ferman and Bruce Castor, here in Montgomery County.  In that role, Todd heads the Sex Crimes Unit, where he works to protect children from sexual predators.

Todd has worked in our neighborhoods leading investigations and working with our police to hunt down criminals and secure convictions.  For example, just last year Todd worked through the night with local police to hunt down the rapist of a 74 year old woman and is now working to put him behind bars.

Todd volunteers countless hours teaching parents and children how to be safe from internet predators.

As a member of the Horsham Planning Commission, Todd helped lay the foundation for quality-of-life improvements that resulted in Horsham being named the “15th Best Place to Live in America” by CNN/Money Magazine in 2007.

Todd serves on the Re-use Subcommittee that is responsible for determining the future use of surplus land at Willow Grove Naval Air Station and has been a leader in the fight to make sure Willow Grove can never become a civilian or commercial airport.

Todd worked with Horsham Township officials to draft a local ordinance to keep sexual predators away from places our children congregate – schools, daycare centers, parks, community centers and more – and then called on Harrisburg to pass legislation that will do the same thing statewide.

The Background and Experience We Need

Todd Stephens is a lifelong resident of our community who understands the values of local residents and our concerns over rising property taxes, healthcare, violent crime, the future of the Naval Air Station and more.

Well known in our community due to his work as a prosecutor and in local schools and senior facilities, Todd also gives his time as a volunteer to several civic organizations, including the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Program and as a Board Member for Mission Kids, Inc.

Todd is a proven local official who volunteered his time as a Planning Commission member in Horsham Township and on the Re-use Subcommittee dealing with the future of Willow Grove Naval Air Station.  There, he has seen how state government can help – or hurt – our local communities.

Todd will use his knowledge, experience and understanding to go to Harrisburg and make it work for us again – so the legislature finally deals with issues we care about.

Todd is a graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School and also earned degrees from Shippensburg University and Widener University School of Law.  He and his fiancée, Nicole, both live in Horsham Township and are looking forward to raising a family in our community.
